Partial success

Here are instructions that actually are orientated properly. I think it would also work with a iPod touch or iPhone.

  1. Dan,

Very cool. I was wondering how to do this, since I just received my iPad.

  2. Dear Jamison,

Though I just discovered the feature, I have been told the screen shot functionality has been present on iDevices for quite a while. The timing of the button presses can be problematic, but the way one takes a screen shot is as follows: (1) navigate to the screen you want to capture (2) press the home button (the button on the face of the device below the screen) (3) while depressing the home button, press the on/off sleep/wake button that resides at the top right corner of the device. (4) if the sequence is completed properly, you should hear a camera click sound and a capture of your screen should appear in the Photos app.

My biggest problem with the process is that I don't complete the second click in time and the device registers my press of the home button as merely my attempt to return to the device's home page or I some how end up activating voice control.
